What does it means to think Digital?

In this post, I shall define Digital as -any technology that enables more effective processes and reduces wasted time, and effort.

Thinking Digital simply implies a person's or organization's ability to review their workflow process and identify areas where technology can be of effective use.

Thinking Digitally requires a shift in mindset, and organizational behaviour. It required the letting go of ancient traditional methods and adopting newer modern techniques.

Most European countries have already in their business implemented Digital Enabling Technologies. They saw the value in making the investment by understanding the amount of money that was being lost in traditional workflow operations.  

An example to illustrate this, taken from the European Commission on Digital Transformation Scoreboard 2018, showed that companies who implemented Cloud Technologies for Date Storage -Data Analytics being an "add-on" -increased their sales volume by following through on the sales leads generated from the data analytics. 

The report further describes the other digital enabling technologies  implemented and the associated value produced. 

The core essence of thinking digitally is -Implementing Technologies to Increase Workflow Effectiveness and Reduce Wastage.
